| Dear CAPD/ACDP Members, CAPD/ACDP is pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual conference, for the first time, in Canada’s newest province, picturesque Newfoundland and Labrador. The conference will be held in St. John’s from September 19-21, 2024. The Scientific Committee along with the CAPD/ACDP National Annual Conference Committee, and the Local Organizing Committee co-chaired by Dr. Trang Nyguen and Dr. Jennifer McLellan, have prepared a spectacular weekend filled with outstanding educational courses, renowned speakers, and exciting social events. The theme of this year’s annual conference is Radiology and Oral Pathology. We are delighted to have Dr. Catharine Flaitz presenting a talk entitled “The Times They Are A-Changin’ - So Are the Oral Diseases and the Drugs We Use to Treat Them “and Dr. Catherine Nolet-Levesque speaking on the topic of “Radiographic Interpretation in Pediatric Dentistry”. An interactive session with the audience will feature "Stump the Chump", with both speakers. Dr. Jeff Critch, will present, "Review of Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases that have Oral Manifestations", sponsored by the Canadian Paediatric Society. The optional Conference Pre-course, on Thursday, September 19, will be presented by NuSmile and will feature Dr. Paul Bahn on the topic of "Immersion Into Intraosseous Anesthesia & Restorative Options and advance Techniques for MIH". As with all Annual Conferences, there will be a Welcome Reception Friday evening and the President’s Dinner and Dance on Saturday evening to end the meeting. Both of these events will feature the folklore of “the Rock”. I look forward to seeing everyone in St. John’s and I hope we can all get “Screeched in”. Greg Westman President, CAPD/ACDP Cher(ère)s membres de l’ACDP/CAPD, L’ACDP/CAPD a le plaisir d’annoncer que son congrès annuel se tiendra, pour la première fois, dans la pittoresque province de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, la plus jeune du Canada. Le congrès aura lieu à St. John’s, du 19 au 21 septembre 2024. Le comité scientifique, en collaboration avec le comité national du congrès annuel de l’ACDP/CAPD et le comité organisateur local, coprésidé par le Dr Trang Nyguen et la Dre Jennifer McLellan, ont planifié un week-end extraordinaire ponctué de cours offrant une formation exceptionnelle, de conférenciers réputés et d’activités sociales des plus divertissantes. Le thème du congrès de cette année est la radiologie et la pathologie buccale. Nous sommes ravis d’accueillir la Dre Catharine Flaitz qui présentera une conférence intitulée « The Times They Are A-Changin’ - So Are the Oral Diseases and the Drugs We Use to Treat Them » et la Dre Catherine Nolet-Lévesque dont la conférence s’intitule « Radiographic Interpretation in Pediatric Dentistry ». Le Dr Jeff Critch présentera « Review of Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases that have Oral Manifestations », parrainé par la Société canadienne de pédiatrie. Le pré-cours facultatif de la conférence, le jeudi 19 septembre, sera présenté par NuSmile et mettra en vedette le Dr Paul Bahn sur le thème « Immersion dans l'anesthésie intra-osseuse et les options de restauration et techniques avancées pour MIH ». Comme pour toutes les conférences annuelles, il y aura une réception de bienvenue vendredi soir et un dîner et danse du président samedi soir pour clôturer la réunion.
